Ready for Fall

Ready for Fall

The weather is still hot, muggy, and storms - but I am ready for Fall.  Pumpkins, leaves, and apple cider!

I found these apples - they look a little sparkly - in Target and they are the perfect item for early Fall.  The candle holder with the leaves was a find at the Yankee Candle Outlet...and was happy to find the little votive holder in the photo above on my last visit.  The cute little pumpkin is real!  A neighbor grew them in his garden and put a bunch out in our common area with a note that said "help yourself, not edible!"  So cute, and I love the mix of orange and green.

A little scarecrow at our door.

I love the way the orange pops against our blue door!

A little fall as you enter...

And some September art  - thanks to the printables from

Found this cute little Fall gnome at Dollar Tree.

I have this apple dish for several years...used to put it in my kitchen window over the sink...now I put it where the light can shine through.

Wine rack gets some Fall vibes...the plate and reused maple bottle are old...the gingham pumpkin is new, from Dollar Tree.

An old tin, a glass leaf bowl, and my Susan Branch Autumn book cheer up the kitchen corner.

Since it is still nice weather for the porch I switched out the throw and the pillows....

The fall pillows and a faux mum make the porch feel like Fall.  I don't buy real mums any longer - they don't last at the front door since we are in an apartment and no natural light in the hallway - and our porch gets bits of the late afternoon sun - not enough for live plants out there. Thankful for pretty faux plants!

But, it has been so hot and humid we are not using the porch this week...eating in our dining area.  I found this lone placemat at Pier One years ago, and found the candle holder at a visit to the Yankee Candle Outlet.  I love the sunflower and leaf motif...perfect for September.  Placed it in a basket of faux tiny apples and another little pumpkin!
And, of course, our mantel all ready for Eagles football!
Also, just learned how to make that black television look like art....will post about that soon!

Hope you are enjoying September!  Do you decorate for the Fall season?  I would love to hear about your ideas!  Leave a comment below - I really enjoy hearing from you.  Now I am off to make chicken soup ( even though it is going to be 80 degrees today ) and have a cup of coffee with pumpkin spice creamer!
Have a great day!
